Grilled Filet Mignon with Caramelized Vidalia Onions

Ingredients:

2 8-oz. filet mignon steaks

1 large Vidalia onion, sliced
1 tsp. granulated sugar
1 Tblsp. olive oil
Salt and Pepper

Directions:

Pat filet mignon steaks dry with a paper towel and season generously with salt and pepper. Set aside steaks and pre-heat grill on medium-high heat.

In a medium bowl mix slices of onion with sugar, olive oil and 1 tsp salt. Place COOKINA BBQ sheet on grill and cook onions for 6-8 minutes until they begin to caramelize. Add steaks next to onions on COOKINA BBQ sheet and cook on each side to your liking (about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium rare, depending on the thickness).

Serve steak and onions together.

Yields 2 servings.
