(English)

It’s grilling season friends, and even though we are well into summer, it is never too late to update your technique for healthier and tastier food! Try these easy tips to make the most of your grill and wow everyone with your cooking!

Chicken

1. Come prepared. Make sure you have all the correct utensils to get started grilling before you even turn on the heat. However, keep it simple! All you really need are tongs, a brush, and your grill!

2. Avoid prepackaged meat. When buying your meat, always try and go to a butcher. Prepacked meat traps the moisture, making your meat not as tasty after grilled!

3. Don’t remove the white strips. Yes, this is the fat on the meat. However, this marbling adds flavor to the meat! Keep the fat and enjoy the flavor!

4. Preheat. Make sure to preheat your grill before putting any food on. This will ensure your food is cooked evenly and not left undercooked. To test, you should not be able to hold your hand over the grill for longer than 2 seconds before having to pull away! Once you’ve reached this point you can get ready to start cooking!

5. Try the bringing method. Soak meats in this salty solution before grilling to allow them to hold their moisture. This will leave the meat juicy and tender during grilling.

6. Add extra flavor. There is always room for more flavor! Try brushing on a glaze of honey, maple syrup, or molasses during the end of cooking for a little added flavor. Also, you can always marinate your meat before placing it on the grill!

7. Let it cook! Have some patience and let your food cook a little before poking, lifting, or flipping it. Allow the food time to sear and develop a crust. Once your food has the grill marks on it, you know it is time to flip!

8. But don’t overcook. You never want to serve undercooked meat to your guests, however, overcooked meat is not any better! Remember you can always put your food back on the grill if it tastes undercooked, however once you overcook, you can’t go back! It’s better to underestimate the time to cook then overestimate!

9. Slow cook over smoke. Add a flavor to the fire such as citrus peels and slowly cook your food over the smoke allowing it to soak in that citrus flavor. This is a perfect addition to a summer meal!

10. Let it sit. Allow your food to sit for a while before serving it to your guests. The flavor is not quite done soaking in right after taken off the grill and your food will continue to cook for a few minutes after removed! Patience is key for your best tasting meal!

Great step-by-step photo session. Grilling pzizas is one of our favorite things to do as well. Love how creative you can be with flavorings. It also makes for a great party. Guests will love making their own special pzizas. A couple of our favorites are: corn, cilantro and blue cheese (YEP) and another is Prosciutto, black truffles and an egg.
